I was reading on distributedfolding.org that you can make the program go 30% faster, and then it tells you to read the README file. I've read both (for the windows screensaver and text client) and I found nothing that says increasing performance by 30%. Does anyone know how to do it?

disregard that, its a left over from the early days

it was thought, but later proved untrue, that you could uncompress the protein file and get a performance increase

several of us tried it both ways on identical pc's and found that it runs faster the "normal" way, so nobody uncompresses it anymore and you don't want to , since its slower
