Hi guys.

As not so big md5crk cruncher I wish to add a MagicButton on my site, so I can left spare PC's on this site overnight and gain some scores.

BUT, the only site I have is http://www.i.com.ua/~death
well ofcourse I can register some on http://narod.ru or other free hoster and point browsers in that location, but I want it here.

So where's the problem? As I read on md5crk.com, I must place some file at my site to prove something. OK. But this hoster is not really a hoster - it provides dial-up access to internet and give users some space at web.
and, if you check this site, you can see one redirect to http://users.i.com.ua/~death, and then to http://mirror1.iptelecom.com.ua/~death and then it takes page from somewhere I can't guess.

AND THIS IS DOESN'T WORKS WITH MB!

:bang:

I've tried to point md5crk.com to both adresses and it not works.

Help..... :trash:

I think I follow,

Please tell me the contents of the md5crk_verify.txt file provided when you try to register this URL:
http://users.iptelecom.net.ua/~death

What is the error message you are getting?

when I check "Verify it is visible to the world." it says can't find ip address of users.iptelecom.com.ua

you can check this -

http://users.iptelecom.com.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt

when I try to submit http://www.i.com.ua/~death md5crk.com says -

HTTP/1.1 302 Found
Date: Wed, 09 Jun 2004 07:27:15 GMT
Server: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) mod_throttle/3.1.2 PHP/4.3.1 rus/PL30.17
Location: http://users.i.com.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt (- IT"S HERE!!!!)
Connection: close
Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">

<HR>
<ADDRESS>Apache/1.3.27 Server at www.iptelecom.ua Port 80</ADDRESS>
</BODY></HTML>

But when I submit http://users.i.com.ua/~death it says

Verification failed.

Right,

address re-directions are not allowed. It doesn't prove you own the website. Also, I cannot resolve your final web address. :(

so you must allow it =)))

when I try to submit http://www.i.com.ua/~death md5crk.com says -
Location: http://users.i.com.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt (- IT"S HERE!!!!)

But when I submit http://users.i.com.ua/~death it says
<ADDRESS>Apache/1.3.27 Server at users.iptelecom.net.ua Port 80</ADDRESS>

try http://users.i.com.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt - show properties - http://users.i.com.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt

but goddamn provider use Apache/1.3.27 Server at users.iptelecom.net.ua Port 80

so it finally locates somewhere http://users.iptelecom.net.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt

WOW! I try this and it works.

Too pity for such complex verification. :Pokes:

The verification is about as simple as it can possibly be. Any simpler and people could register websites they do not own.

The version of your webserver doesnt' matter as long as there is a file at http://users.i.com.ua/~death/md5crk_verify.txt which there is.

So good luck!

well, anyway it works, but i wonder did it worth it

48 63 http://users.iptelecom.net.ua/~death 33 141.7

why it can't be http://i.com.ua/~death ???? :bonk:

becasue that is not the address of your site... it is the redirect that leads to your site. redirects don't mean anything just easier for you to remember
