TSC
MD5
FAD
DF or LM
D2OL or LM

Are these going to be ONE week or TWO or THREE week gauntlets?

We need a START time (Date/Time CST) for each gauntlet to start,

Wed: 00:00 Start
Tues: 23:59 Stop

Just need to figure out how long each one will run, and we should be all set :p
If we can remember  :D

LM gauntlet was a disappointment with the Servers going down twice and the DB going down

We will surely have a better time with TSC

I liked what we did in d2ol, running untill we take the desired position.

Just needs to be determined ahead of time.

To improve our team rank a posistion or two in a particular project....
I believe this would require a 'Power Gauntlet' of Team Effort ... ;)

Feelings seem to get hurt when folks feel pressured to join in, and others may feel left out if not specifically invited, or the client won't run... all kinds of uglies could come up...

Most folks are staying on their fav projects right now, which is just fine...

Some of us are waiting for the 'DF' burnout to subside  ;) :)
Trying to have some 'FUN' while keeping our interest in our systems performance, and the stats we rack from waning and of course, some are R&Ring from other projects

I thought we were talking about short ones, like two weeks, which appears to be the consensus...

So how about...

While we are in one of these two week gauntlets, there is nothing cast in stone that says it has to end, we could all vote to extend it for another additional 2 weeks, kind of like we decided to jump ship on the LM project because of the Servers going down too often to be of any use to us or them.
So we will begin the TSC gauntlet on Tuesday night at 00:01 (wed morning actually :p CST of course)

So 2 weeks effort, find out if the majority want to stay with it, or move on to the next gauntlet in turn.

This way, everyone can get a chance to run other projects, if they are so inclined to learn a new one, or are interested in it... some will roll from project to project, then maybe skip the next gauntlet, then return on the next project gauntlet and so on...

A perpetual round robin of projects, with concerted efforts, once in a while for an extended stay, sometimes moving on to the next because of technical problems.

Doesn't get any easier than that...

Eventually

Fozzie could do the write ups for the '1st/2nd gauntlet of the Month {ProjectName}'
What's the next gauntlet and when does it start...
Monthly Gauntlet News Letters!?!? Any volunteers? :sleepy:

:D

Admittedly, I haven't participated in the aforementioned gauntlets (due to lack of boxen and commitments to DF and FaD). However, if I were to switch projects in that manner (and I still may, in the future), I'd want the goal to be a spot in the rankings.

then we can realistically set Anandtech as the target.

This should take about a week if we do what we did in D2OL. However with some of the major crunchers having to do quite a bit with the client installs 1 week is not enough running time for the setup time you need.

So Team Italia would be a good target, or even Thors Hardware.

I like this concept. It would be kinda like having a Gauntlet "scout".
Someone that knows the ins and outs of the next Gauntlet project
could give us a report on the "target" that is do'able in that project stats.

It could be just to get ahead of another team or a number that we can get
to in a couple weeks. We do the task and then move on to the next gauntlet.

We would still need someone to call the start date when it came time to move
from one to another.

The way I see it we would need a volunteer "scout" for each project on the list
and someone to be the "starter".
