http://www.distributed.net/download/prerelease.html . The following clients are PRE-RELEASE clients. In an effort to provide quality clients at release time we will PRE-RELEASE clients for bug checking. These clients are not time restricted and will become release clients in 4 days if no bugs are found. If bugs are found clients will be removed and fixed. Clients will then be
placed back in PRE-RELEASE status for another 4 days.

You referring to Dnet not correctly identifying your processor in earlier versions?

If so, that's cool :)

No it isn't any faster.

According to the changelog, there is a new P4 RC5 core, though.

"new: x86: P4 RC5 core (ak-p7)"
