howdy all

I have popped up on the grid again

I have a problem I need some help with, my brother did some update off the net to his IE6 and now it is in dutch or german or something. now it isnt in a foriegn language to look at it or any menu drop downs but if you right click to copy or paste or download from the net it is in a un-intelligle language.

how might I fix this ?

can I remove IE6 and reload a good one or is there an update I can try

I tried windows update but it told me that there was a newer version loaded and it could not continue.

if anyone has an idea I could use the help

I will return this evening to see if anyone knows of anything

thanks in advance

I just noticed at the bottom of this page where I am to submit my new thread there is a button to attach a file, I believe it is a browse button but it says

Durchsuchen...

1. Dump IE and use a decent browser like Firefox.

2. On most installs under XP theres a restore point, try reverting back.

3. Rename the Internet Explorer registry key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER to Internet Explorer Old and reinstall your copy of IE.

I'd go with 1 myself, since having Firefox I wouldn't ever go back to IE.

On IE6 if you click delete in add - remove program it has a repair option.

Can't you just install an English version over the last install?
