Pirates@Home is a test of BOINC, the Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing. One goal of the project is to help develop a screensaver for Einstein@Home. At present Pirates@Home is not doing any real scientific computation. We are just having fun with BOINC.

Read more about the research and development goals of Pirates@Home.

The goal of Einstein@Home will be to use distributed public computing to provide the computational power needed to conduct an all-sky blind search for gravitational radiation using data from the LIGO and GEO 600 gravity wave detectors. If you would like to participate in Einstein@Home when it officially starts then please sign up to be notified here .

thats strange because from the actual project websites there are 2 members on free-dc for pirates@home and 2 members at BURP.

hmmm,

well, boincsynergy don't seem to be doing burp, but I fail to see why the pirates team isn't shown..

I've mailed Zain who writes and upkeeps those stats, see what he thinks.

Pirates shows us as a team. Might not be in the stats, since 0 team results have been returned...

You might be right....

I've signed up and if I can get any work I'll turn in a result so that we at least show on the stats :)

I guess this is the place to put this. Your Stats for The Closed Pirates Project are all messed up. The Top 4 People are not even listed, you have NeoGen as the Top Participate when in fact he is only the 5th place person ...

It's because I never got the chance to parse the xml stats for pirates (hadn't written the boinc stats at the time they finished), so they are only for a few select teams. /shrug

If the final xml stats are available somewhere, let me know and I'll grab and parse them one time.

The BOINC Synergy Site shows the Proper Stats for the Pirates Project. I don't know if you can use the following Link or maybe e-mail or talk to Zain who runs the Site on where he gets his Stats from ... http://www.boincsynergy.com/stats/individual.php?project=pir

Zain was doing boinc stats before I was, he was parsing the xml stats whilst pirates was still operational...

He may still have the final xml stats. I'll mail him when I get a chance.
