I think the Free-DC projcet is a great idea. I am thinking about moving my Gegome@Home boxes over beginning in January of 02.

Just wanted to ask if there was anything I could do to help with the website? Make up HowTos, review add-ons, etc?

FWIW, my main interest is in G@H, though I am starting to consider running Evolution@Home (http://www.evolutionary-research.org/index.html) (E@H) as well.

Thanks for giving us a great, unbiased forum for DC efforts!

Hey JPS! Glad to have you aboard. :)

You want to help out, do you? Well, I'll find something for you to do (besides crunching ;) ), no worries.

I'm still hard at work on the site, and we're still making some hardware changes, but once we get the base structure down, and I get some templates ready, I'll be more than happy to have you contribute.

Keep an eye on the forums, or stop by IRC to see when we're ready to start accepting reviews, how-to's, etc.

Again, WELCOME TO THE COMMUNITY!! :D

Just let me know. I will be more than happy to contrib on the G@H front - and the E@H front if I get plugged into that as well...

Ok, I'm a little new. Can you point me towards IRC?

Most people use a stand alone client for IRC, but to get started, try this:

Web Based IRC Client (http://www.free-dc.org/cgi-bin/chat/chat1.html)

If it seems like it hangs up for a few minutes, don't sweat it, just give it time. It's funny like that sometimes. ;)

Once you get in, the guys will be happy to help you out and answer any questions you might have.

Welcome to Free-DC!
