Ok, I've verified on all 5 boxes that they are not doing anything after all 5 boxes are done with the candidates in the queue. Before I noticed this, I've set the QueueSize to 10 instead of the default 50.

Has anybody experienced this before?

they only contact the server every 6 hours, so if you can finish 10 inside that time they just sit and wait, set it to 2000, then once downloaded reset to 75(ish)

Oh... wow!

Thanks for the information Helix. No wonder my clients keep on sitting around idle. I'll bump up the QueuSize for all of them right now.

So I am guessing that the queue will get flushed and fetched on a 6 hour interval by the client?

if you are running command line use "tts" = Talk To Server. or from the gui is good until you get used to it. You can change the setting to get it to comunicate with home more often, but everytime it does it resets to 6 hours.

I let mine run down from 2000, but leave the min set to 200, just incase.

Flushing gets rid of all the WU's you have been assigned/downloaded and tells the server this. No reason to flush unless you get a batch of corrupted candidates ie..they complete in seconds/minutes.

I set my cache to the number of cand's each box does in a day X 3...so each speed box has a different sized cache. This way I'm not tying up 2000 candidates.

I also feel that 2000 candidates is quite a long queue, so I've gone ahead and Set QueueSize=100.

With this queue size, I am set to have enough work for one machine for one day.
