TKC 1.61 Released
Version 1.61 will no longer destroy your old statistics during an upgrade. This version also addresses a few minor remaining problems with erroneous user/password errors. We strongly recommend that all users update to 1.61 as soon as possible.

For those who didn't do it yet: Update!

Statistics Optimizations Added
We have made some database updates that will significantly enhance the performance of stats submissions, the team rankings pages, and other areas of the site. In order to do this we have had to re-import all of the statistics data to a new database table. All data has been preserved correctly; however due to a database limitation all of your submissions will now show the timestamp of your last valid submission at the time of the move. We hope this minor inconsistency will not outweigh the benefits to browsing the site and submitting your statistics. From this point forward all submissions will have correct date and time information.

Team Ranking Page Optimizations
The old, slow team details page has been rebuilt and heavily optimized. In combination with the statistics optimizations from earlier this week, the team rank page is now roughly 35-40 times faster than before.

Current Ranking Fetcher Plugin Enters Open Beta
The Ranking Fetcher plugin has been released for public beta testing. You can find a link to it in your Personal Download Page. Please keep in mind that this plugin is beta software and may contain some bugs and unexpected behavior. Please report any problems or suggestions to keycount@piqsoftware.com. If all goes well we will be deploying the final release version of this plugin in one week's time.

WebAPI Enhancements Released
New features for the WebAPI have been released. You can read more about them on the WebAPI documentation page. These features are intended to complement the new rankings plugin.

Web API: maybe I'll rewrite my dataspider for http://www.the-mk.at/tkc/, where dataparsing is much easier with the data of the Web API... lets have a look when I'll have some time...

You could probably find a way to port it to Linux (emulation maybe?). I'll look around to see if I can't find anything that will let it work on Linux.

Jeff, I've tried Winex and it still won't fly.

If you can find a way to run this baby, let me know coz I am wasting a ton load of keycounts at my workplace,... where I type the most. :(

Does ne1 know what language the program was written in? I could DL the source but I don't have MS-VStudio 6.0 on my machine. If I know the source language I should probably be able to find a program that works.

No, I don't think that Apoch will ever write another version than Windows.

I would guess at Visual C or Visual Basic, but I doubt it matters either way. He is probably using MFC controls to get at the keyboard/mouse etc. These do not exist under linux, so you'd have to write that component from scratch, not that it would be difficult.
