If you are using a HT(hyperthreaded) machine whether it be Xeon or Pentium IV and you have Beta checked under projects, there is a problem. Discussion can be found here:

You need to delete a couple of files and reinstall the software. Check the version number you are running and if it is 1.25e then you need to read this thread. I have 3 machines that have basically been stuck doing nothing for a few days.
