THE CINDERELLA of Intel's chips, the Itanium, has been told it can't go to the Microsoft's supercomputer ball.
That's according to a report on Infoworld, which claims that the software giant will only support iAMD64 microprocessors - that is to say 64-32 chips - when it introduced Windows Server for High Performance Computing.
