Actually, the question I MEANT to ask was:

I have an Athlon processor with a tiny cache. Will that have a significant effect on my performance? Is the cache going to be a big issue? If the cache slows me down more than 20% when compared to a similarly rated processor with a larger cache I'll either look elsewhere or try to exchange.
