I have tried everything and can not escape the 'siren' noise from the speaker.
3 different power supplies
5 different types of memory
The computer boots up just fine!
It recognizes both Xeon 1.6GHz processors, the 512mb of ram 2x256 ECC Reg, the HDD, CD-Rom, floppy etc.
I can get into the BIOS and make changes and save them to.
I installed Windows 2000 from scratch, applied all the service packs, patches etc. and even installed two FAD clients and they are working just fine.
Anyone know how to get around that damn 'siren' from the piezzo speaker ???
MS-9138 (v1.X) SSI Mainboard
Phoenix BIOS
It appears to read the -5v at 3.6v ... but with 3 different server class power supplies ?
