Help audio track to long

Hi people,

I need to shorten a track that i have on CD, and then get it into powerpoint. HELP I have no audio special software so would need to download something i would think.

hmm dude, you need to rip it off the CD, using CDex or DBPowerAmp - needs the CD plugin - and a reg code i think can't remember got mine "reg'd" ;)

hmm now for editing
cool edit pro, sound forge are 2 i can think of but they need wav format and that's big - so need to convert it to wav 1st then shorten then convert it mp3 format to drop the file size.

Hope this helps a litte no doubt someone else will come up with something different.
