I just noticed my client rate do something wierd see a part of my screen output:
p = 631284610721279 @ 305kp/s
p = 631284620721413 @ 315kp/s
631284623207759 | 10223*2^5901113+1 (duplicate)
p = 631284630721447 @ 314kp/s
p = 631284640721447 @ 309kp/s
p = 631284650721497 @ 313kp/s
p = 631284660721523 @ 4294967047kp/s
p = 631284670721633 @ 314kp/s
p = 631284680721649 @ 314kp/s
p = 631284690721669 @ 309kp/s
p = 631284700721693 @ 302kp/s
p = 631284710721701 @ 297kp/s
p = 631284720721723 @ 303kp/s
p = 631284730721759 @ 269kp/s

I think there may be a bug in the rate calculation.

Craig.

It might indeed be a bug, but AFAIK nothing similar has been reported. Could be a one-time-only glitch, in which case I assume it can safely be ignored. Maybe the older sievers know something about it?
Although I look at the client output frequently (call me insane, I enjoy looking at the passing numbers) , I've never seen something similar in mine.

PS: Wouldn't it be nice if we had a CPU that could sieve at 4.3 billion kp/s? -just daydreaming... :D

Also saw this one or two times - just a slight bug in the performance measure, I assume.

I have seen this happen once or twice myself. Not sure why though.

I've seen it a number of times on one of my machines
for some reason i haven't seen it on the others (I see this certain machine every day though and the others i only occasionally glance at)

It might be a sign that the computer is having memory or heating issues because the machine i had the problem on was having alot of issues for a while.
