Help Please

Ok i have to do a report on a problem for english. I have chosen to do one on the vast computing power required to compute possible cures for differnt diseases and other mainly medical problems and how Distrubited Computing helps provide that power

Would anybody be able to make some comments on my topic, or provide me with some infomation regarding some of the older projects that may have finished in successfuly solving a problem.
