I didn't know where to put this, but anyway.

Where I thought it should say Nigeria, it says Niger, is that right or not? and it seemed a bit close to Nigger! :/

The spelling is correct.
Did a quick 'Google' search and found the below...
The country of Niger is 90-percent Muslim.

Both of you are right, in one way or other. Check the CIA Factbook for example; there is a country named Niger (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/ng.html) as well as a Nigeria (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/ni.html). Both are in North/West-Africa and border each other.

I did check the cia factbook and it seems Niger and Nigeria are the same country.

Check again, they ARE different ;)
