Hoping someone can confirm this or tell me I've thought this out incorrectly.

I'm building a new server that needs to be 64 bit enabled. I've chosen 2x3.2 ghz Xeon's with 800mhz fsb and 1mb cache, using the Asus NC-CH mobo. Maybe I'm reading too much and confusing myself, but I think every xeon with 800mhz fsb is 64 bit enabled.

The other thing I'm trying to confirm is if the mobo matters like it would in Centrino products or is it all processor determined?

don't think those parts a 64 bit. you need an intel itanium(?)

Actually the Nocona's are...

IronBits's dual 3.6 Ghz Xeons have Gentoo for 64bit installed.
