OK I have found a box that I had under the stairs and cleaned it all up and fired it up with a new(ish) HD and behold we have an AMD Thunderbird behemoth.
So I download Mandrake 10.1, efore anyone has a pop it's the only one I've had any success with before.
I have downloaded and installed FaD on it and I think (ho ho) that it is all running.
I typed top and it was grabbing 90% ofthe CPU which is not as much as I expected but at least it's positive.
Now I want to monitor it and am kinda stumped.
