I need to do some looking up on BOINC because I'm a bit confused about it.

I'm fine with using BOINC but NOOOOOOOO and thats an emphatic NOOOOOOOO to climate prediction, id rather watch grass grow..... anyone else agree??

The only project I listed that would have used BOINC was Clim Pred. I didn't mean BOINC SETI, I meant Classic SETI. It is still active, right?

im not positive but yes i think Seti classic is still available

i think this needs to be evaluated at a later point in time when we come close to finishing up on UD. Things might change by then(probably not) and we may realize that some other project has a greater calling. just a suggestion and also there is no harm in looking towards the future.

i was reading up on seti some and i see that they are gradually shutting down seti classic. Looks like they will stop allowing new people to register on classic in about a month or so and will eventually be compeltely boinc. So, if we plan on doing seti any time in the future it may end up being on boinc. This plan of sorts can be found here.

I guess we just won't do SETI then as we are ranked 3rd in BOINC.
