Hey IB - how are we doing overtaking Rechenkraft and TeamTNT?

How's about posting that link where you found the overtake times.....

Oh - that's on MAcNN's. I answered my own question. Looks like 16 days to top 10...

24 days - Russia
23 days - Busty_Seventeen
16 days - TeamTNT
07 days - Team_Ninja_-_The_Counts_of_Crunch
04 days - Rechenkraft

Soon not to be :)

And it's only 17th place on the team, my total is still 47T+ ;)

Ok, wake me up when you've added another 10T, so I can start to get nervous... :D :jester:

Anyway, joking aside, it'll be nice to see FreeDC in the top 10...

Too right,

IB has been shouldering this one for a while.

http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats/users/user.mhtml?userID=4044

Still got a couple of P4's yet to perhaps put it on and I'm building another 3.4Ghz one tomorrow for work :)

I also started fixing the stats for sob. Still got some work to do it though.

Wonder how the opteron and AMD64's would fare :p

j/k they are still getting me to 500K on D2OL unless I need em ;)

Nice stats over there....

We need to get into the top 100 in Rc5-72, just so we show up on their stats page...

we are so close to 100M (CEM/s) for the rate.... Just one or two more P4's would do it......

Anyone ?

rsbriggs
04-05-2005, 06:36 PM
Not until this weekend, here :(

I could throw some AMD boxen at it

That would put our production rate at # 2. Only TPR is currently producing more than 100M...

I'll get the 3.4Ghz P4 tomorrow online hopefully. Have to install RHEL on it for application compatibility. Then Oracle 9 and some other pieces. It should be good for another 2.5M or so ?

I wouldn't use the athlon's, they are slightly wasted on SoB. All of mine are going to FAD next week :)

Let me see what I can do tonight - I can probably squeeze a couple more M out of what I have running it already. Guess that means my RC5-72 and OGR output is going to die off... :stretcher

Grrrr. Just lost out by $10 on an eBay auction for a Sun 220R with dual 450's and 2 GB ram....

The good news is, I found a place that sells 256MB PC3200 DDR400 RAM for $12.95 per stick (and $9 shipping)....

Nice change to the stats Bok! I noticed it doesn't have those huge numbers anymore. Sad though, cause that made me feel really cool to be putting out billions a day. Oh well...

I don't understand the whole M G T thing anywayz...

Just think thousands....

K = 1000
M = 1000 K
G = 1000 M
T = 1000 G

a "T" of anything is pretty amazing, in my book.....

I for one am very glad he adjusted the stats, they are clean now. I wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole before....now I'll touch em with a 2ft pole :D

Bok

Nice code, but you'd better reduce that sleep :p

With my wife's help I'm back in business, though one P4 is still off....

we aren't too far off #2 in the daily rate either....

oh and we've actually overtaken Rechenkraft already if you look at the actuals :)

Can anyone look at the time already worked on the WU I have and how many % I have left to be able to tell what my avg %/day is?

I'm trying to figure out what the total time is going to be.

rsbriggs

D'oh - I calculated using the the BLOCK completion.....

101 hours is about 4.2 days....

66.8 / 4.2 = about 16% per day....

One more picture I would like some comments on...

I think AMD's clocking (i.e. 2800+, 3000+, etc) may be accurate when comparing AMD to Intel speeds.

I have SoB running as a service on a 2.7GHz Intel Celeron w/ 512MB of SDRAM.
I have SoB running as a GUI on an AMD Sempron 2800+ (2.0Ghz according to AMD) w/ 512MB of PC2700 DDR.

The AMD is doing 26,000cEM/s more than the Intel...

I thought Intels were quicker???

The AMD is used more than the Intel anyways...so it's even better that my AMD is kicking the Intel's ass :)

Forgot to add the pic....

Pconfig
04-08-2005, 08:05 AM
That cems/sec takes in account on how much the pc is on ;)

It calculates the time ago that the test was send out and the amount of cems earnd with it so far. If you want a real comparison you'll have to get your arse to those pc's and view it realtime ;)

CaptainMooseInc
04-08-2005, 03:45 PM
how are you supposed to see realtime cEM/s on a SOBSVC.exe?

-Jeff

rsbriggs
04-08-2005, 04:07 PM
run: sobsvc -k

that will put icons down in your tray, just like you were running the client directly....

CaptainMooseInc
04-08-2005, 05:19 PM
I won't do that. I'm sneakernetting this client.

I had FaD on this computer for awhile and then it got too tedious to manage. Now I've found it extremely easy to sneak this SoB program on here via a service. My roommate's are dumb (they are 2 blondes, and they fit the stereotype...c'mon...they think AOL is GOOD for your computer). They haven't seen a hit in the performance of their system and even if they did they'd just think "spyware" so I'm covered.

I really don't care about cEM/s anyways. I just like thinking that I am doing more w/ my AMD over that crappy Intel.

These computers both run 24/7 anywayz so I still believe I'm doing more. :)

Captian, dunno how your AMD's are out performing the Intel's (Maybe there is something wrong with them?). According to my numbers, there is something WAY wrong with your borged Celeron.

My official numbers.

Intel:
My Celeron 2.8ghz gets 2,024,832 cem/s
My P4 2.4ghz on Linux gets 2,022,110 cem/s

AMD:
My Athalon XP 1800+ (1.5ghz) gets 992,737 cem/s (w/SoB Athalon XP optimizations)
My Athalon 64bit 3000+ Mobile (1.8ghz) gets 1,106,207 cem/s (no SoB optimiztions available)

CaptainMooseInc
04-08-2005, 09:32 PM
It gets 100% of the CPU cycles 99% of the time...

It is a Compaq computer though...not a home built so it has lots of Pre-installed extras....

YAY!

Oh well, more points for me.
