Windows clients should now download a new library AUTOMATICALLY and work three times as fast compared with previous library.

Hi,

If it's the library that's got the performance improvement I take it that the Linux version will also have speeded up too ? Is this correct ?

No. For Linux, its the same library with a different name. Actually windows used to be slower than linux before because some functions in fortran libraries werent optimized for windows. We compiled a new copy of library using latest fortran compiler and hence we got speed up at windows. Therefore, now windows should take roughly as much time as linux workunits.

Is this project intel or amd optimized?
If not realy optimized wich is fastest? And how far is it faster?

Seems to me that an AMD 64 3000+ is faster than an Intel 3.0GHz even when running two instances. I could be wrong.

I'm still getting upto 60 seconds sleeps intermittently, but they don't keep going for as long as before so something is working better.
