Here's what I see represented in a mix of words and smileys:

IronBits looks in rear-view mirror and

All teams in front of Free-DC look back and

Maefly looks at the road signs he passes and

While Free-DC as a whole looks ahead and behind and :harhar:

As far as the mad Dutch Cows go.....

Yes, our thwack prediction for DPC moved back a full MONTH in the last update (see above for what it was just three hours ago....)

Heh. And if any of the cows move over to FaD for the stampede in June, my guess is that the 2006 in the prediction will change to 2005 really quickly. :D :elephant:

I want to see us hit 300M - so I guess I'd better get to work on the dual-Z's....

I'm all over the place - 3 steps forward, and then 2 back.
I don't know what the heck is going on...
All I did was toss on another 16 GHz of dual xeon lovin... :)

I cloned two drives from two other servers with different mobos (msi and asus) with two clients each.

I suspect it was because I deleted the work that came over from the cloned drives so the clients wouldn't do duplicate work,
Then I re-named the new servers and re-booted them.
This made the new Servers download new work units like they should.

I suppose I confused the hell out of the SOB servers by doing this?

Somehow the new servers must have reported that I deleted those wus, but the two original servers keep returning work on the 'deleted' wus?...

I hope it settles down soon! :bang:

If it doesn't clear up by morning, then I'm going to delete all work on all servers and just let them all start on new work units.

The program keeps stuff in the registry and in cache files, too. I've taken to uninstalling SOB from a machine when I'm done with it, and re-installing a fresh copy if I have to start up again, or if I move it over to a new machine.

I also, from time to time, let all my machines finish up, then expire any old, outstanding work on the main site before I start up again.

I can still remember starting up an old copy of SOB after a long hiatus and watching my production numbers actually go negative.

By then end of the week DPC will be in the 2005 Takeover Time range! It's dropping a month every couple of days....I suspect actual takeover time (if we keep production up) would be near the mid to late summer of 2005. :)
