Put a known address into the url box hit enter (you can do web address)

But also check
a) your connected to the net
b) firewalls are not blocking the java program
c) In setup part, UDP or ICMP or not blocked

I get them but I assume it means the IP it trying is not there or responding.

Not all IP addresses are taken.

I receive them on every measurement, as well. I assume that it means that something along the way (like my DSL modem, possibly) is sending back a response without a name or IP address in the packet.

are both UDP and ICMP blocked ?
or do you have ZoneAlarm installed?

ZoneAlarm on my system.

I don't have ICMP or UDP blocked though.

I just got a range of ports that DIMES uses for UDP so I'm going to make them available for use by DIMES.

ZoneAlarm is specificaly known as a problem causer. (as always)

You'll need to goto their forums, some one made a post for a work around but it doesn't always work. I think they're looking for a fix.

The second I did the ZoneAlarm fix I got a graph on my DIMES program!

Many said the blocking of ICMP or UDP wouldn't make DIMES not graph. Apparently that is incorrect.

Now I can see pretty pretty graphs!!!

Yay! I'm PMing Ohad to have him put the instructions on the Installation page.
