Well, I find myself being the proud owner of a spare AMD (Barton core) 2600+ / 333 FSB CPU. It needs a home.

I'm open to suggestions as to what MOBO to use it in.

Sadly, I do have to be a little price conscious about the MOBO, and I'd really prefer that it have on-board video. Keeping all of that in mind - I'd really like to hear what MOBO people would recommend for it...

The Asus A7nx-vm I've found is very nice...

I've got one sitting idle, though I'm not entirely sure it's functional.

PM me your address and I'll send it out no charge, at least I think it's one of those....

I concure, Asus A7N8X or A7N8X-vm work great :) (vm has onboard video)

But the A7N8X-E Deluxe freks me out right now!

First board ordered was trash, 1gig of DDR400 wouldn't run on the second one with 200Mhz FSB and the second one also overvolts the core badly. It shows 1,74 V instead of 1.65V for my XP 3200.

So I'm sending that board back for the second time... and I#m still waiting for the exchange of my RAM...

Somtimes Computer suck....

Sorry for the off topic...

Hmmm well I'm running an XP2600+ Throughbred on an MSI KT6-Delta, it's got onboard network / sound but no onboard video, I have a XP2200+ running on the MSI KM4M which has everything but not sure if it will run an XP2600+ at 333, let me check - Yup it will run up to a XP2800+ even if it's a Barton, 400Mhz FSB is possible if you get the Via Apollo KM400A chipset.. I've had no problems with the Via Chipset on either of my machines... the AGP video slot on both these boards will run a card up to x8 AGP if you need it to ... lol
