OK, George Woltman, the great man who has fine tuned the Prime95 code, is at it again. He has ver. 24.12 out now and it is faster than 24.11.
Go to this site (http://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=4181) to download your appropriate version.
To update your Prime95 software,
1) Shutdown your current client
2) Unzip the correct file for your OS into your current Prime95 directory. When it asks to overwrite the old executable, answer yes
3) Fire up the new executable
The new executable should start right where the old one left off, only faster.
Please read the thread to find out any limitations George has mentioned. They should not affect any of our work, though.
