Pause/Play button(which status is which)

Maybe this feature makes sense to people who AREN'T mildly autistic, but I'm forced to ask:

When the yellow pause button is displayed, is it's status paused? Or will clicking a yellow pause button CAUSE it to be paused.

In my attempt to think like a normal person, I'm displaying the green play button. Is this correct?

Other way around Jasong - when it shows green the application is paused, when it is yellow the application is running.

In my opinion, and I get this opinion from my mother, it should work like a video display on some VCRs, the two lines mean it's not working, the play button means it is. That's the exact opposite of what's going on.

Oh, well, at least I now know which is which.

well the idea was to display what will happen when you click it.

If it displays PAUSE, that means if you click it, it will pause down, right now its playing and vice versa ...

so when it displays PLAY, it is PAUSED

and ofcourse when it displays PAUSE, its on the RUN
