Shuld be all that's necessary. Take a look at sendlog.log in the client directory and see if anything's actually being sent.

What did you run overnight ? Muon1_cmdline.bat ?

The client scores mpts... and you should get some points saved in a
file called results.txt. When that file approaches 100k, it will get sent.

And sendlog.log stores the network transfers there.

Hope that helps Fozzie... G'luck! /nice to see a new face!

:edit
I see you showed up in the stats... Good Job ! 7,315.2 pts...

Fozzie

It takes a while to get 100k of results.
BTW you can manually send in results.

need to have something running.

LHC is out of work, Eon wus are large at the moment, FAD is full throttle on Borgage and Dimes is full throttle on my home boxen.

DPAD seems to behave nicely with DIMES.

AND it generates its own WU's...
So you can run offline as long as you want...
Now, if only they could find the 15 meelion points IB lost...

They also have a *nix client somewhere also...
Don't know if it works well or not tho.

If I configured a client and it downloaded the files it needs to start I could then run the config nonet batch file and put it on a nonet box?

Can i put the same exported folder onto many boxes?

I suppose it can be run silently using srvany etc?

Muon1_background.exe will run hidden/silently...
Look in the config.txt file... it has a setting for auto-sending results.
Export to as many boxen as wanted... just don't export results.txt with it.

This would be the perfect project if not for peoples' stats going missing.

I have it running as a service under XP using the background command line version.

If I stop the service will it behave, or is there a file that I need to delete to ensure it has stopped successfully?

This client is no longer any good as far as I know. As you can see, it's over 3 years old now. I have gotten the recent clients to run in linux using wine, but it would not send the results. Even when I imported the results.txt files into windows manually from the linux box it would say the file is invalid. Hope someone can figure it out sometime.

Magnavox is correct. It stopped working a few years ago. I did work a little with Stephen before that trying to fix some of the ftp errors. Basically it uses the windows ftp commands which are invalid on linux. You could manually ftp the results in, but that was a PIA..

Stephen then mentioned that he had no plans to do a linux port himself.
