Running two instances of Sob via the service install is giving me 3.6M on the 4200+ at stock speed. Comparable to the dual xeon at 3.0...

If you lower your multiplyer and up the FSB I think you will find you can increase the SOB output quite a bit.

Assuming of course that your memory can take it with running a divider.

Was that 3.6 total or each? I'm getting 4.8 total with dual 3.0GHz(200x15) Xeons running minus HT. With HT enabled I'm only getting ~3.9 total.

On a different note, any idea if SoB would be a good backup for BOINC? I ran it for a bit tonight because Predictor was down and it looked to release the CPU fully as soon as Predictor became available again. Seems like DIMES, Predictor, and SoB may be a pretty decent combination to keep the CPU busy. ;)

Thanks again for the awesome work on the stats & sigs!

It was 3.6 total. So, yeah, not really on a par with the intel output...

give it a go on the 3800+ and see what it gives you :)

Will do.

I'm going to be ordering one of those 3800X2 setups for myself shortly here. I'm impressed with their performance and VERY impressed at their power usage.

2.1GHz AMD X2 = ~125w
3.0GHz Xeon = ~225w

Both at full-load. ;)

And I'm sure you can hike that baby higher...my 4200+ is at 2.4Ghz easily haven't pushed it further.

yeah, can't be beat on the power usage and heat output. Thought I'd hook you!!!

Hopefully if I can offload a few XP systems I aim to have 6 systems running..
