I'm not entirely sure it's performing very well on linux. Looking at the top computers, they all seem to be Windows XP based.

My 4200+ has an average credit of 200 right now (windows), but my dual MP 2400+ is less than 100 (linux).

Thoughts ?

Actually I think a lot of the problems I'm getting is because of lack of memory. It seems to need more than the 256Mb I have in a lot of my crunchers. I've got a few XP2700's which still haven't actually finished a single result after 3 days because of this :(

Looks like I'll have to stop it on these and go back to LHC.

Lack of memory? No way, SZTAKI uses less memory than LHC. If I recall it uses 2MB+boinc.exe 15MB+ boincmgr.exe 8MB.

EDIT: Oops, didn't see it was for linux.

3 days is far too long.

I just checked my linux boxes and they take 2 to 3 hrs to do a job.

All of them do have at least 512MB.

sztaki is using less than a meg on this node.

hmmm,

I don't understand then. It just seems to keep spinning away :( Perhaps it's a problem with Gentoo ? It does seem to run ok on a RedHat box I have.

I didn't actually look to see how much memory it was using, just that a lot of swap seemed to be in use, should have looked more closely I guess..

Still, not sure I'm going to be able to help out too much if it's barely running on most of my machines. :(

My linux boxes are Centos 4 on the duals and a RH9 based image on the netboot machines.

Boinc is version 4.72 which i compiled myself.

I don't think it is boinc though, more to do with the search..... program.
