It seems the dfclient does not release the cpu as well as other DCprojects due, or maybe it has something to do with the HT ability of the cpu.
If I do not close the dfgui and stop the client, it...
I have a random issue as well. Sometimes when I start the dfgui it says the "client appears to be running" when it fact it is not.
If I shut it down and restart it turns it on the client like it...
I 've been running this thing a for a couple days. Using the DFgui to monitor it as I have it hidden with zero output to the screen.
Seems to be chewing along nicely and even with just my 1 box...
1000fsb, big deal !
I've got my 2.6c running at a fsb of 1022 (4 x 255) for 3.325G cpu speed!
I know HT processors are not the same as SMP, however should I set the affinity for the DF .exe to just one of the "logical" processors in task managers?
Does it matter??
OK I am back for awhile. UP and running DF for you guys.
Already shown up on the Team roster.
Not sure how long I will stay. Summer coming and this thing rocks my o/c cpu to 58-60C. A tad bit to...
You know like the old em microscope for G@H?
I have a P4 2.6c @ 3.32G (1022fsb)
You see my o/c success here .
Nothing like all my duallies, but I just retired my VP6 with dual PIII 1G. ...
I noticed everyone is just putting FreeDC,
no it has an * next to it meaning it is a required feild to answer.
Thats why I asked. If it was optional I would have skip over it.
I am not thought dumb I thought :P
but when I went to the DF site using the link from the front page, one of the mandatory fields is "organizatinon".
I'll go back and reread some the info tech,...
Hey, just got back into the swing of things and was looking into getting back into G@H, but it seems like nobody really participates anymore?
Is this a dead project? I read they completed the...
I just scanned through the forums.
I do not get it, even the guys runnig the show mention this is "update" information they are providing with this dc project. So what is the point of that? Sounds...
so is G@H dead? I jsut found the stanford page for them?
what is DF? the same as F@H?
Hey guys, been awhile.
I am down to just one machine but would not mind running a dC project on it again (unless the tems get out of control).
No longer run all my duallies, down to an XPC w/ a...
I am listed under the teams stats page as MTP, however when I click on MTP to get my personnal stats I get a page that says "page not found" and if I go the ECCP stie and do I search under MTP it...
I went ahead and fired up the XP1700 system and reinstalled Win2k on it. The only reason the systems is up is to run ECCP.
I added the "hopped" up code from statsaholic for an AMD system.
As...
Glad to back :)
How are those video cards holding up for you D?
SC-
Yeah its been awhile, work has had me traveling abit. Spent the summer in Gaeta, Italy. What a blast.
You mention install 2 clients and setting the affinity, sounds just how I used to run...
Went to the site to downlaod the client. Thought I would give it a whirl to see have it ran.
Notice the service for smp machines, but the gui version did not mention anything about smp...
No, not confused. I never did the DF project and when I was doing G@H it was still under its own cleint software and not combined with F@H.
I ran 2 instances and like I said would upload results...
That seems huge? Did they change something in the client or work units? I used to run 2 instances on the G@H cleint and wpould only upload every day. Don't think it was over a meg or 2 for both...
No offense, but that seems like a real corny project. Discovering eliptical curves? Sounds like we are helping a bunch of Jr. High kids do their geometry homework.
Whats the point?
Wasn't...
Yeah I've been gone for few months. I have not the slightest idea about the current DC projects.
Looks like RC5-64 is over.
Also from the forums it looks like everyone has bailed on Genome as...
I regret having to do this but it is time to make room for the WA-2A boards when they come out. Both of these boards and all 4 cpus work. I bought these boards used and had to RMA them both to get...
Well the reason for getting the KT7A (ver 1.3) is because it takes the XP but uses SDRAM and I have 2 128M sticks of PC166 ram that I can slap into it. I have some old 8.4G WD hdd to throw into it...
