No you are not alone.
Lars
Hi Nuri,
thanks for the reply. I had do do the third step to get into play again.
Lars
Hi,
since yesterday i am not able anymore to connect as user: secret.
I get allways a denial from the server.
Whats wrong ? ( I honestly changed nothing on my side)
Lars
I have no problems with the new version.
Tested on Intel P III 700 with win 2K
and AMD XP2000+ on Win XP pro.
Lars
:|ot|:
To Paul.
Are some of the performance gains also applicable for other calculations made with newpgen and will there be a new version in the months to come?
Keep up with your work.
...
Hi,
only to correct the last list of reserved ranges.
I have reserved 260 to 275.
Lars
Hi,
i will take 260 to 275.
Lars
Anything new about protein change ???
With the current rate we finish within the next two to three days. So the next tuesday after reaching 10 billion would be the 31 of december.
Lars
At the moment my AMD XP2000+ is doing the job.
At over 1040G the system crunches more then 1G per hour.
So 1T to1.1T only needs about four days for me.
Lars
I made some tests with k=4847 and n between 3M and 20M.
After sieving only up to 8M there are only 115000 numbers left and numbers are still removed wirth a rate of 16n per second.
So the files...
Info from Bommer:
He will do 1200G to 1300G.
Lars
Hi,
looking at the stats it seems that there is no more priority given
to the last n values for k=27653.
Only out of interest. Why did we stop to finish this k with the highest priority as it...
Lucky enough i had not really started sieving k=28433.
So i will stay with k=4847.
Lars
Edit:
@Louie:
my executable has a timestamp 20.12.2002 10:56 is that the correct version ??
And by the way i will take 1000G to 1100G if nobody else has started this range.
Lars
Range from 700G to 800G is also ready.
Removed 19 numbers.
Lars
If nothing speeks against it i will do sieving up to 400G
Lars
Thats because all the other K are sieved by Louie.
So only 4847 is our playground.
Lars
Edit:
Hi Sander you have been a little bit faster with the reply.:)
The performance gain when using NewPgen 2.71 Beta
is much higher for me.
With version 2.70 i could crunch 0.286G per hour
With version 2.71beta this is 0.48G per hour.
Both on a PIII 700MHz....
Range from 600G to 700G is finished. Results are on the way to Sander.
Finaly 27 numbers are removed.
Lars
Hi,
i will do 700G to 800G also if that is not blocked ba anyone else.
Lars
P.S. The range from 600G to 700G will be finished today with over 20 numbers removed. :|party|:
I should have started complaining a little bit earlier. :bang:
Only two hours after my mail i had the first four numbers removed. :rotfl:
Lars
One more question,
is there any possibility to tell how many values you expect to find while sieving in a gieven range?
I ask because i have sieved now from 600G to 612G and have no hits yet. ...
Thanks for the answers smh.
Because ceselb wants to sieve from 500 i will start from 600 upto 700.
Lars
I would also want to help.
But to be honest i am not sure how the first line in the *.fil should be changed.
And the is the *.del file what i have to set as output file ??
And last point how...
Next question.
How is it possible that the upper bound is higher then the min n value of the current test window ?
For example k=10223 "n bounds upper"=767020" and test window min...
