    stats hiccup 4-nov-2005 ?

    bok,

I am seeing a hiccup in the FDC stats pages today.

Most projects a re showing a reduced Allproj output spread across the last 3 days. Less that what was there this morning.

There are odd exceptions like eOn where this has extanded back several more days.
    http://stats.free-dc.org/new/allproj.php?proj=eon

    can you investigate ?

    [ed]
looks like a possible time shift.
do you use a time dimension table ?
    [/ed]

    Cheers.
    AMDave

Perhaps a backup restore is in progress as I am looking at it?
The profile of data over the last few days has altered again.
I'll pop back in an hour and check again.

    Seems to have reversed again.
Reboots and opening new sessions on different PC's confirm the results.
The stats pages are definitly going wonky...
    ...consitently on the individual stats
...intermittently on the project total stats

Going to have to wait for the "sensei" to post about this....

I noticed it last evening, around the 6:14 or 7:14pm updates. Basically, the pages were counting each new update as a new day. I don't know if that helps any, but that seemed to be the problem.

    Yup,

I posted in response to a DIMEs stats problem.

Basically I fscked up yesterday. I was tidying up the logging in the scripts in order to get to a point where I put the log into a hyperlinked doc. Whilst doing that I added some timecoding and used a variable named $mydate for that. Unfortunately I was a little sloppy and didn't check that I already had a variable of that name. One which I use to check to see if I roll over the date.... so yes, the script thought every update was a new day (as I don't check by specific date).

It was more pronounced with Eon as that actually gets updates every 30 mins.

I could have rolled it all back, to last night's backup but it would be more trouble than it's worth. I fixed it and today should be fine..

    Bok
