    How do I join a team?

    I've been trying to find a link to join a team. I created a team so I didn't have to join. When I'm logged in I can change teams but I can't join a team. Can anyone help with a link?

    Tis simple...
    To join Free-DC for example
    When you have SB running in GUI, just click Config
    Where it says Team and type: 60
    Save config, done

    To join another Team, look here http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats/teams/
    Click on the link for the Team you are interested in joining, note the number at the end of the line
    http://www.seventeenorbust.com/stats/teams/team.mhtml?teamID=60 <<<

    Or you can copy paste this into notepad and save it as sb.reg
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LhDn\sob\config]
    "dir"="C:\\dcprojects\\SB"
    "max_rep_retries"=dword:00000000
    "max_retries"=dword:00000000
    "retry_wait"=dword:000004b0
    "special_handling"=dword:00000000
    "username"="IronBits"
    "team"="60"
    "serv_addr"="sb.pns.net"
    "serv_port"=dword:000006b5
    "logfile"="sb.log"
    "max_log_size"=dword:00000020
    "priority"=dword:00000005
    "transmit"=dword:00000001

    Of course you would want to EDIT this file first so that it has YOUR name and Team number ... or not...

    Three items that need to be EDITed first.
    "dir"="DriveLetter:\\YourDirectoryLocation\\SB"
    "username"="yourNAME"
    "team"="yourTeamNumber"
    Save the sb.reg, then double click on sb.reg and you're done

    Another place with great stats and where you can find the Team Numbers for SOB17 is here: http://marcc.no-ip.org/sob/Teamstats.php

    You can also change teams from your preferences page on the 17OB website.

    Thanks for your help. That doesn't help to make a link for a Cklick Here To Join Our Team at SOB. Since I Created Our team, I never joined a team at SOB and since I'm a member of a team I can only change teams, which I don't want to do.

    I have them set up for the Boinc Projects and all the others except SOB and SOBS.

    Thanks Again,

    Bill

    i was under the impression the only 'team' that counted was the one assigned in the client. the webpage team was irrelevant... or have i got that back to front?
