    Wildlife,Dna@Home & subsetsum@home retired

I've retired these stats given they are incorporated into CSG. I do wish everyones account had been automatically moved over, but the mechanism is there at csg to create your account and bring in your stats from the older projects.

I have kept the data in distinct tables, so I may write some code to show it but not include it in the combined.

Combined totals will update soon, so expect some negatives. Also expect some decrease in MM's. Everyone is affected that ran those projects so it shouldn't make too much effect.

I've switched the badges to be included under csg now, but still have to deal with the wildlife feather badges for watching videos..

Ah, no, this is wrong. Sorry.

The intention was to keep the totals for each project rather than lump them all into one project (ask Travis). CSG shouldn't be included in the stats (I don't know why they are even being exported to be honest). The whole point of CSG was to bring all of the message boards and admin under one umbrellla, not to combine the credit etc.

Removing existing projects completely screws up the MMs. I've lost, for instance, 3 1K MMs, but anyone who never crunched DNA/subset/wildlife etc stays at the same count and moves up the league table. That obviously cannot be correct.

You should be removing CSG and leaving the individual project as they are.

Originally yes, but it changed when it was pointed out that the subproject data could now be exported. It was briefly considered to use the subproject data to continue to try to update the projects but that would involve a whole new parser. Not worth the effort.

Any change was never going to keep everyone happy, but long term this is the best solution. The subproject MM's will have to make up for it. I'll be working more on them next week.

Oh well, all of my hard work struggling to get to certain MMs pissed away because Travis can't be bothered to check three message boards. Nice.

Would it be possibly to have a user option to display our results the old (correct) way?

I plan to show them but not sure how yet, got some ideas. Had to put them into different tables, much too database intensive to leave them in the same table but ignore them for combined data.

Honestly, no solution was ideal, but I had to make a call at some point.

Do you have any stats at some of the projects not exporting data ? (mopac, norlist, beauty@home etc) I can add you to my scraper for those, which will give back some of your MM's...

The more I think about it, the more I realise just how wrong this solution is. Deleting projects can never be right. It is historical data, you can't just throw it away. Well, you can, it's your site It'll be interesting to see what the other stats sites are doing, not looked at any of them for ages, so perhaps they've all done it wrong too

Don't I already get those scraped stats as a supporter/donor anyway? Must admit I haven't checked. No idea which ones I've got credit in to be honest

gets me nowhere. What am I doing wrong?

(NB! apart from the <>, that is because [] would show placeholders and no code)

Good point - I should add a generic version which allows the project as a parameter instead...
