Go to the drive manufacturers web site and you can download their diagnostic software in an ISO format. Create the CD and boot from it. It will tell you whether your drive is defective or not. It will also test the controller on the MB. A lot of them even allow you to retreive the information needed for an RMA.

Well I didn't hear a single "spin up" attempt you know when the PSU is hitting it's limits your try to do too much at once...
How can I get anything off it, IF the BIOS doesn't pick it up!

I all ways get the magnets off the Drives when the Bios can't pick up the Drive
Oh boy this is going to be fun.
First try disconnecting the power for all the other drives and see if it spins up.
Next you could try changing the power connection for the drive.
You can try changing the power supply.
You can try resetting the BIOS to factory settings. Usually a jumper located near the battery.
You could try putting it in an external case and see if the system recognises that there is a drive.
If you can it get to recognise the drive but it won't show you the files there is still hope. There is a free program out there called PC Inspector File Recovery that does a great job at recovering your important stuff.
If all else fails and there is something really important on the drive you can use a professional file recovery service but it's expensive.

Well it's a SATA drive so no master slave pins to set, nothing to set at all it's plug in and go.. I did take it back and well he could get it to show up either either in bios or using tools he has which are way better than mine, New drive also I got a new PSU is this sucker now bye bye 520w - hello 750w with enough AMPS where I need 'em.. I may still need to change the case but we shall see Now I'm going to let it BOINC a little..
