Just remember, I still need to get the puppy power to work. When it comes to linux, I'm a complete idiot.

Well Lauren it looks like you're in luck.
I got the puppy power (fatdog64) installed on a usb stick and got it to work. I installed the correct Nvidia drivers without a problem. I downloaded and extracted the Boinc files but no matter what I do I just can't get Boinc to run. Anybody that knows how to do this feel free to help me out.
So it seems that you're safe from an Nvidia attack on Poem. The question is, can you hold off a GPU attack on two projects?

Oh now your being sneaky and attacking my rear
What message do you get when you try to run Boinc ?
No messages. It just doesn't do anything. I go to the Boinc folder and then click on boincclient or boincmanager and it does nothing.

If they can keep the work coming, it won't take too long. It will be interesting to see if you can stay ahead on both projects.
BTW it looks like we both had a good day over at Milkyway. The 12 hours of double credit really helped.
