lol, I would respond to that challenge, but one of my cores is dedicated to paying back a crunching debt(I traded sieving on Riesel Sieve on an A64 for me PRPing on SOB on an Intel). The other core is on BOINC, patiently waiting to do nanotechnology research.

/me wants to find a way to convince other computer owners on the Internet to crunch. (An ad in the paper, maybe?)

where are jasong and helix ?

ooooh far behind ... didn't see them

i don't know your secret weapon ... but here is mine: I have some extra power (10 ghz) sleeping in "power economy shut down" ... so no illusion you will be too ...

we will have a nice fight ... again

Bring everything. By myself I can put Free-DC in first at sieving but not at PRP (without using the secret weapon).

I don't know about Helix, but my situation is that I only have two cores and a desire for a bunch more. Not to compete, but simply because I'm addicted to Distributed Computing. Maybe even a little obsessed.

If I have something happening right after work, and don't manage to get my Internet fix that I expect around 2:15PM, I get cranky.

at this speed it will be a high probability !

don't know what helix his running, but i want one like that !

in this project, cache memory seems very important

on my xeon 700 mhz 1mb each iteration take 16ms and on the 2mb version only 15 ms ...

  30. #30
will ask some for christmas (quad core version) maybe i will find a generous donator.

the eight xeon 700 server is almost away (ebay) and will be replaced with a conroe (power consumption of the compaq proliant beast is awfull)

Added another P4 3.0GHz and soon an AMD 64 3000+ to the PRP. Tomorrow I will add my work machine (2200+) and I hope by the end of week a few dual-opterons. Let's see if I can be at full steam by friday for the 24 hr run.
