Bok, I had an idea! This doesn't happen very often, so we need to take advantage of the occurence.
EON updates every half-hour. Hit the button, no sweat. It's a small enough project that you get your page instantly or sooner.
Rosetta (among others) updates their page every SIX friggin' hours, if that. Besides, every stats page request takes a half minute of server processor time to generate 'cause there's bazillions of users in it. But, stupid us, if THEY skip an update or if YOU skip an update, or if we're just impatient (who, us?), then the button gets pushed a lot, generating lots o'traffic.
How about a Stats Update Page that lists all the projects (that you do stats for) and the date/time of the last update. It should take zero seconds to generate and display super fast and we can go there instead of to the project stats page to see if an update has happened since we last looked.
Brilliant, yes?

Erm, uh, well, um, YES! More or less EXACTLY like that! Good job.
Glad I suggested it.
Anytime, just anytime at all that you need a really great idea, don't hesitate to ask.
