Ya I hate when that happens
Laurenu2, it looks like you're going to keep the lead. I tried my HD4890 in a different machine today and it dies after 3 to 4 hours. Looks like it's time to RMA it. At least it has a lifetime warranty.
I guess I'll just have to take it easy for a while.

Your dominance is now assured. I came to work this morning and found that my HD5850 is dead.
It didn't even last 2 weeks.
That is about 300,000 a day I'll be missing and if you figure they will be gone for 2 weeks that adds up to about 4.2 million.
Now for the good news. Team is now at #38 with 8,440,090 credits.
I've got 3 Mil. done and 97 to go.
I think I'll just have to chill out till the cards come back.

Game is back on.
My supplier replaced the HD5850 with a new one since I had it less than 2 weeks.
My Hd4890 is on its way and should be back in about 2 weeks.
Now for the good news, I passed Laurenu2 today. I don't know how long it will last but for now I'm ahead of him.

DNETC is down for maintenance. My GPUs will be out of work in less than an hour.
Well it's still broke.
It didn't do me a lot of good to get that replacement HD5850.
It was probably Laurenu2 trying to catch up that caused this.

Ya like you were right when you said you were NOT going to take the lead
And here your giving me the Saying I will pass you soon enough
Considering that you output is about 200,000 more than mine, it won't be long. Then again I've got my local witch doctor working on more problems for you.
I told him he did a good job with the DSL outage but he really screwed up when he took down the whole project for a day. Anything else that happens you can blame on us.
Some numbers for today.
Team is at #28 with 13,428,507 credits. We should pass Boincstats and AMD users today.

I see we have Killer Frogs on the menu for the weekend
I hear they taste like chicken
I will have to start to pass out the signs
I think I will have to wipe Every computer in the house because of this virus Darn kids
You're not going to like this.
The most effective way to get rid of this one (it's really nasty) is to wipe the drives. First shut all of the infected machines down. Disconnect them from the network. Use the drive manufacturers utilies to write 0s to the entire drive and then reinstall the OS. It's time consuming and a pain in the A$$ but it is the only 100% sure way I know to get rid of it. If you fail to shut down every infected machine on the network it will just pass from machine to machine and you will be in an endless loop.
You may want to consider Dotsch Linux which is preconfigured for Boinc and supports both ATI and Nvidia. I'm going to start using it on all new builds.
I'll tell the witchdoctor he over did it this time.

I feel it's only fair to tell you guys that I've pulled the plug on this project for now. If you want to know why, read the other thread. If they can resolve the issues I have then I'll be back.
Laurenu2 should still have his frog legs in a few days and I've called off the witch doctor. This should save you some money since you won't need to buy anymore GPUs to keep ahead of me.
I've put the ATIs back on MW and the Nvidias are back at Collatz.

If I would have known this was connected with distributed.net
I would have said NO from the start
