Very nice. The boys were just looking at your previous year videos and will be excited to see new ones for this year. The live webcam thing is cool, I just saw the USPS truck go by.

Yeah, that brings up an instance where the lights were giving me fits and I had a few choice words for them... I went inside and noticed there were 3 people watching the live feed. UGH. I ended up posting a little apology on the website in case any of them heard me.

Here is the first two videos of the year...
    MaineLights.org - A Christmas Sandstorm (2010)

    MaineLights.org - Nutrocker (2010)

I found out our little Fujifilm camera has better color video than our Canon video camera so I tried it for these videos. I had to get across the street to get most everything in frame so it's a little distant.

Sandstorm is my favorite and Nutrocker is my wifes(Hey! Be nice!) even though it's not really finished.

I have to say, this being the third year I'm finally getting comfortable with the software enough to play around. I still like getting sequences from other people to see what they do(and hope they have good timing) but it only seems to work out ~30% of the time(the other 70% I'm re-doing timings which takes loads of time).

I'll be sure to post videos of our other new songs in the coming weeks.

    Merry Christmas guys!

Time to bring this thread to the top again.

Nice to see that you're doing the display again this year, Jeff.

I just watched a show on cable called something like "Invasion of the Christmas Lights", and one of the segments featured Richard Holdman, which then reminded me to go check http://mainelights.org

In case you caught that show, the segment at the end in Seattle featured a house just a stone's throw away from here. I told my wife I need a new hobby - she's scared now.

    Merry Christmas Free-DC folks!

Still doing the display... still questioning my sanity while setting it up... still have fond memories of you all this time of year!
