When a First pass and Second pass test do not agree, we continue testing until we get two matching residues. The two matching tests would be taken off the DUBIOUS list and any test that did not match is added to the BOGUS list. I restate this to be sure that I understand the process, please let me know if I am out in left field here.
As a result of the retesting that has been done lately, the project as a whole becomes more sure of the test results up to this point being correct. This prevents wasted time testing higher n's with the associated longer test time. I agree whole-heartedly with this plan. You could say that the project had been building the 2nd story of the house before the foundation had dried.
Earlier, I saw a post that had info about the DUBIOUS and BOGUS tests, and it seemed that the IP number and user id # were known for each one. I would like to request that this information for BOGUS tests be added to the user preferences pages as a private statistic to troubleshoot which machines were having problems.
As a request for the new client, I would like to add a "test k-n" log to be saved so that machines could be cross-referenced with this list of BOGUS tests. I am sure we could look at the logs, but who has all of their logs?
Any feedback on whether or not this is possible?
