I suppose you can surf the web at port 80. So what you can do is change in the configuration of the client sb.pns.net to sbp.pns.net and change the port from 1717 to 80.
For monitoring over a network i found DCmonitor at http://devel.bluetentacle.co.uk/dcmonitor/v1

1. Concerning connection has understood, has registered the necessary port :)
2. Under the program, it works certainly poorly. And anything else is not present?
This program does not show more than 1 task by the machine, and at me a lot of multiprocessing, etc.
3. Whether there is an opportunity in SoB to organize turn of tasks

1. Good

2. try installing service... for multi-processors

sobsvc -o2

readme.txt has info on switches -k , etc

What O/S ? windows2000? Windows2003 server?

3. ??? turn of task ???

No I don't think so... constant internet connection required. No storing / cacheing of work units not available without extra java program.

Turn of task, do you mean priority?

vjs

Very good Matt task priority...

try

c:>progra~1\sb\

then

sobsvc -i <-- installs client

then

sobsvc -o2 <--- for multi-processor

then

sobsvc -m <--- keeps sb client working

optional uses...

then

sobsvc -x <--- only for lowest priority ... normal idle priority don't do this step

then

sobsvc -k <--- hides 17 icon

3. I thought about cacheing
It is a lot of computers which have rare access in a network

4. For what last 3 items in service respond?
http://www.fad.podm.ru/sob/ris/sobsvc.png

I have found out parameter -w:[1,2,3...]
He on what does not influence?

To queue work units on your local network and have them accessible by multiple clients you need to set up SB Queue (http://home.att.net/~k.brazier/programs/java/sbqueue/index.html) on one of your computers.

Connect to the internet and fill up a queue of units in SB Queue.

Tell your SB clients to connect to the machine that has the SB Queue on it.

As for the last 3 items on your screenshot, I don't know what WU Queue size is refering to, I didn't think that the service client had the ability to queue...

The autodial type is possibly about allowing the client to dial up a connection to the internet.

The periodic restart is about forcing the client to restart at a certain time every day.

I have no idea what the -w parameter does.

I have no idea what the -w parameter does.
It does nothing. The maker had the intension to make tests queueable with the service, but it never came futher than intensions. The only way to queue tests is with SBQueue.
Reading the readme. I think you mean parameter -p instead of -w

I apologize for the nasty English (I use the translator)
For me you can write Russian. I have a human translator at home :)

blocks = 4*(10^-18)*n^3. Round off upwards to whole blocks.

For point 1 you have to wait for my human translator. The computer translation is rubbish.

If you want to view your assigned tests you can log in to the main Seventeenorbust website and click on Pending Test Management.

I don't think there is any way of viewing what k/n ranges you have completed historically, except by reading your log file.

It is very interesting to hear the human translator :)

И ни как иначе? Есть много компьютеров доступ к которым имею очень редко и просматривать там лог проблематично. Ведь должен быть где-то список всех посчитанных тестов и кем это сделано

Eng
And how differently? There are many computers access to which have very seldom and to look through there log are problematic. In fact there should be somewhere a list of all counted tests and by whom it is made

This is the formula so that you can calculate how many blocks there are in a Proth test:

Current "n", divide by 1 million, cube this, multiply by 4 = number of blocks in a Proth test.

eg.

If n = 3621578

4x (3.621578^3) = 190

I have rare access to a part offline computers
Whether there is a sense to send tasks for the server of the project after the expiration 30 day?
Whether and if yes that for them glasses will be charged?

Matt

If you send data back to the servers after you're test has expired you won't get credit. It is recommended you run an offline effort such as sieving.

That is not true. These tests would be seen as Secondpass or Errorfix tests and these are not useless for the project. So you get credit for those.

It is recommended you run an offline effort such as sieving.
That is a good recommendation. Sieving eliminates candidates more faster than PRPing.

1. Have now acted in distribution of the task with n~10000000 :looney: , they are considered by good machines with a speed of 1% for 90 minutes... Whether there Is an opportunity to increase timeout for the big tasks? (for example till 60 days)
2. The exact answer to a question "will be added with glasses for results sent after timeout?"
3. What ports can be used on the client except for 1717?

Seriously consider P-1 factoring or sieve on no network "off-line" computers.

P4, xeon = P-1 factoring
not p4, not xeon, A64, AthlonXP, P3, P2, everything else = Sieve

-----------------------------------

Questions:

What processor CPU are the computers?
How much memory MB?
How many total CPU's do you have access to?

The first part of a post practically has not understood (my English is weak) I shall ask the help in translation...

Questions:

1. Almost all Intels
2. From 128 MB up to 1GB
3. ~70-100 very close there are no problems, the others at long-distance offices, for their loading use SBQueue and carry of tasks on flash

Matt

What type of intel's are they? Pentium 4 or Xeon or what?

It may be better to sieve with anything rather than PRP and run over the time limit.

vjs

Yes are they

PII
P3
P4
Xeon

???

It makes a difference...

Okay, if your English doesn't work, and our Russian doesn't work, maybe I should try a more universal language?
