But I am just a flash in the pan. Once I leave this job, I won't have the big pharms to play with anymore. Its people like you with your single machines that are actually the backbone of DC community.

BREAKING NEWS

I've just finished redeploying all servers from FaD over to R@H. It was a tough 3 days but I manage to find a few dead servers along the way and I'll swap them out on Monday.

So, all my Linux machines will be crunching R@H. My Windows boxen will be crunching DPAD and my AMD machines will be crunching OGR as I cannot find an optimized version 5 Linux client for R@H. Oh well.

Bok, how about Opteron 242 processors? What kind of optimized clients do you recommend?

I've got about 6 of them waiting to roll.

They have at least SSE2, or maybe even SSE3... if that answers your question.

Use a P4 client.
Those Opterons have SSE2.

Well, I am not sure why the large gap but I am sure I did not take out any firepower from R@H.

So it could have been larger workunits.

I like the graphs on this (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/userstats.php?proj=rah&name=4477) page! It's very clear when you started switching to R@H. Could be a position coming change soon too... ;)

Might want to look at them. I have had 12 nodes WU clock just stop ticking over the past 24 Hrs I Had to reboot them to get the clock started again:swear: :bang: :swear:

Yep, it also shows the benefits of using an optimised client! (http://stats.free-dc.org/new/userstats.php?proj=rah&name=9608)

They changed the times of the stats runs, so it might account for a small drop yesterday. This can be seen somewhat here (http://devel.open-dc.org/new/allproj.php?proj=rah)

oh and that's just a small plug for a page I was working on last week :)
