My mother's being hard on me about the money for college coming out of my own account(although she's been kind enough to allow free rent so I can afford it).
Any systems other than my main two will be Linux systems, I never intend to buy Windows again. Unfortunately, for me, I'm not experienced with Linux, and so, rather than go diskless, which I was intending to do, I need a hard drive for my Linux distribution.
I'm begging you guys, I'm in bad need of a storage space for my Linux operating system, anything between 2.5 and 20GB would be FANTASTIC!!!
Would someone please give a poor boy a hand. (An UGLY poor boy?)

Race means nothing. Don't make it a point, in any post, ever again.
Free-DC is a race/gender/orientation "free" zone. Please keep it that way.
Good luck on your search.

Sorry, reference deleted. I didn't mean to offend.

I suggest you just use a linux live CD instead, much cheaper as it is free. Put the CD in, download what ever DC client you want and you are set. As long as you leave it on 24/7, you don't really need a hard drive.

Thanks ps2pcgamer, I'll look into it.
What do you think guys? It has to be a distro under about 650MB to allow for my DC program on a 700MB cd. Also, and you can advise me if you have better ideas, I'd like it to email me certain files every two hours. They'll be small files, each email will be, maybe, 20KB.
Thanks in advance.
Edit: Guys, I looked at the website p2spcgamer supplied and each one fills the cd to the point where I don't have room for my dc program. Any advice?
Edit2: I think I need to start a new topic.

look on ebay. not free but you can probably get a hard drive for 10 to 12 $ including shipping. i see a deal right now for 2 15 gig hd for 37 - shipping included.
you may also store your info in one of those usb memory thingies.i have done very little with the knoppix cd, but right at start it asks where you would like to store personal settings, etc. so any ancient hd or a usb stick should work.
if you leave it on 24/7 and not worried about crashes, and have enough system memory- just run client from memory. i have done this with the mandrake move and knoppix cd's.

I'm thinking about turning one of my alternate computers into a Linux box and attaching my won hardware a couple weeks later.
I still need to find a Linux distro to use though.
