If I change the name or the computer will it mess up the client records like it did in FAD?

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think it affects anything with BOINC/rosetta, Lauren - i was running it on one pc from a mapped network drive, and then started running the same copy of boinc from a different machine a few days later. the jobs appeared in my results under the name of the 2nd machine, so as far as I can tell it doesn't mind name changes...

And if you end up with the PC appearing twice in the stats, you can merge them together to get the host totals correct.
Yeah,
it doesn't matter at all, their db will be keyed by the id anyhow not the name, it might create a new node, in which case you can just merge them on the Rosetta site which is easy.

i don't think it'll even create a new node - didn't for me - it just changed the name listed (in 'my computers'). as you say, it's all tracked by an ID in the BOINC folder which makes life easier! :)
