View Full Version : Trying to get my friend involved in DC.

I have a friend with a really fast Pentium, but he's not on the Internet, and I doubt he can afford a lot of online time, he definitely can't afford a cable modem.

I'm looking for projects that only require short access about once a week, and will last less than 5 minutes each time. Also, he might not be interested in the obvious answer, which would be to do prime number projects.

Can you guys help me come up with some ideas?

dpad would be a good project with no internet access. It doesn't need a connection to receive work at all.. just to send results back to the server.

As sTs950 already said, DPAD would be perfect.

There is also OGR and RC5-72, but those are both math projects (though OGRs are ultimately useful in science).
