there is some Ars spanking to be done.

If you have BOINC already sign on up and help Free DC grab back the number one spot.

By the look of how things stand 30 GHZ for about a month should have us back on terms.

If you can spare a couple of boxen this could be a high focus :fight: as Ars have pimped already.

this is more pressing than our 4 months to No.1 in DPAD.

If the Free DC Mercs are of the same opinion this would be a good project to hit.

I agree with Carlos... this is definitely job for Free-DC Mercs. I'll add 1 or 2 machines to this fight. #1 should be ours and stay in our hands! Let's do some :fight: for Free-DC.

Hi Guys,

Not sure if I'm a Mercenary or a follower of someone who wanted to be buried alive as a punishment for burying alive many others, amongst other questionable goings on) but I have donated my little comp. to the experiment which is on 24/7, and tomorrow five more will have joined Free DC, if that is o.k. with your good selves of course. (I cannot speak to their owners 'till then.) If I can be a Merc or have already been made one then that's good.
You all seem slightly nutty and that's good too.

Just tell me what to do in addition to what already is being done (recruiting.):)

Dunno about how to become a Merc, BOINC isn't my strong point.

Welcome to Free DC in the interim I am sure someone who is more up on the config side will be along presently.

Help yourself to a cold one from the virtual fridge. :fridge: there's aslo :corn: if you are peckish.

:welcome:

Right thanks everyone for being so sweet. NOW I have 3 mebbee 4 questions:-
I am not a 'puter genius, in fact I am no genius but I am trying SO hard.:swear:

1} I have set up my old comp- cleared old memory etc., and now want to use it for the good of mankind. It won't obey commands and do I have to set up another account, it won't merge either.

My 6 mates, who have all agreed to hand over their comps for proper use will try tomorrow - do you choose what projects??

How can I find my stats (albeit small ones.)
I know I am a nuisance, please fogive and if I have posted in the wrong shop I will ask elsewhere. Many grovels and thanks.I am lost:umm:

The way i just did it is this:

Download BOINC form the Leiden site https://fwnc7003.leidenuniv.nl/Classical

Install it

Attach the project using the same URL as above

Now this is where you can either join the Mercs with the email address carlos had given and the password he can/has PM'ed you.

Or

You can go to Create an account for yourself and use that on each of the friend's PCs.
