There are a ton of people in the DC forums that go out and buy hardware specifically for crunching. I imagine a person who could manage to put 5-20 benchmarking utilities(possibly involving actual DC projects) could put their stuff on a site like download.com and make a ton of money.

/me goes to download.com to search for "benchmarking utilities."

Good idea, I'll try that.

Edit: The first file I downloaded contained virus. I don't think I'll push my luck.

You have to go to the right sites and not making a search on the client!!!!

Just put the Prime95 app on a floppy/CD, boot it up, and run it. There isn't much more benchmark than it.
