Okay, I wanted to experiment with the Seventeen or Bust program for an hour or two, but I wanted my ecm program to go back to where it left off when I was done. It doesn't have a save feature, so I was going to utilize the priority settings in Windows.
Well, guess what? When I started up the prp program, I immediately Ctrl-Alt-Del to check out what's going on. I search through the priority settings for a "Low" which would correspond to the sb.exe program, no dice. I figure it's got a Normal setting, so one would assume, incorrectly, that it's going to dominate the ecm program. Nope, strike two. Not only is it set at Normal, but it ISN'T dominating the ecm program, it's the other way around.
Why Bill Gates wants to keep us out of easy use of the priority settings I'll never know, but I'm seriously thinking of sending microsoft.com some very politely phrased poison.
A total move to Linux is looking better and better all the time.
